BANGKOK
Bangkok (The city of angels) is the Capital of Thailand, the population is estimated above 6,5 million. In 1767 after the Burmese invasion of Ayutthaya, King Taksin founded Bangkok. King Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke however gave the city it's ceremonial name, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon.

There are also several canal routes by long-tail boat which offer a great scenery with stops at old temples which are scattered along all canals.

The Chatuchack Weekend Market. is on Phahom Yothin Road in the south part of Chatuchack Park, the market offers an enormous variety of goods, from second-hand books, handicrafts and products from all regions of Thailand, like silk or antiques to fresh products, accessories, ceramics, plants, and even pets. At this market there are approximately 15,000 stalls.
